Mr Moore wants to be part of an honest, transparent and decisive council for Greater Shepparton.
He hopes his background in sound financial management is what he will be elected on and he is offering an analytical approach and closer scrutiny of the city’s finances.
Mr Moore, a bank manager, says he can identify waste in a budget and he would bring to the council his skills in analysing information, talking to people and taking action.
He wants the council to consider if it is spending money in areas that the ratepayers want.
He wants to see the council do more for business in Shepparton and move forward free from past governance issues.
Mr Moore also believes the council can do better in consulting with the community, particularly on issues such as the Maude St Mall and Shepparton Art Museum, and he asks if enough people were asked their opinion on the latter.
A father of four children, he said he wanted his family to grow up and be educated in Shepparton, surrounded by friends and family, before having the opportunity to gain employment in the region.
