As a young Aboriginal man, Mr Day says he wants to work closely with the Greater Shepparton community to create a place everyone is proud to call home.

He says all residents should be able to actively participate in the region’s growth towards an improved future.

A Yorta Yorta and Gunditjmara man, Mr Day has a wealth of experience in Aboriginal community engagement, including serving as chief executive officer with the Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation.

He says his vision for the community is one of prosperity where all residents’ voices are heard and acted upon.

‘‘I have the energy and enthusiasm to represent the people of Greater Shepparton,’’ he says.

‘‘My objective is to be a voice for the voiceless, towards the improvement of the standard of our community in the areas of good town planning, job creation and economic development.’’

Mr Day wants council to work together to ensure the overall wellbeing of the community and that it is well represented through a well thought out, well balanced, grassroots approach.
