Ms O’Keeffe says her discussions with the community reflect its disappointment and frustration with the outgoing council’s expenditure of ratepayers’ money on pointless investigations, and the disunity among the councillors.
She says it is time for change and she believes her results-driven attitude, business experience and passion to support the community will support her performance as a councillor.
Ms O’Keeffe says she and her family have invested their lives and future in Shepparton over many years.
She has operated her own business in the service and training industry for 28 years.
She is a volunteer with the Look Good, Feel Better program for women with cancer and previously with the Make A Wish Foundation and the Shine Program for teenagers.
Ms O’Keeffe has also run a recent successful fundraiser for the dairy industry.
‘‘I have made a difference in the community, I will make a difference on council,’’ she says.
